Meals
A delicious home-made breakfast is served 7:30am - 9:30am. Our amazing dinners are served 7 days a week with your choice of two entrees or you can order for special dietary needs. Our Sunday dinner is our special family time with linens and one delicious family styled entrée. Breakfast and dinner are included in the rental fee. You can order and eat in the dining room or have it delivered to your apartment.
Housekeeping
Each resident will have an appointment for weekly cleaning of floors, bathrooms, tubs, toilets, kitchen surfaces, vacuuming, light dusting, etc. Bed linens will be changed by resident request. Once a year, each apartment will be scheduled for an annual detailed cleaning. Additional housekeeping services are available as desired at additional fees.
Our housekeeping service is included within your monthly rental fee.
Hair Salon
Enjoy a visit to our Salon located on the lower level. Our friendly Salon attendants serve both men and women by appointment with a wide variety of services. It is important to care for our bodies throughout our lives but as we age simple tasks such as trimming our nails or washing our heads can become very difficult. We provide full salon services to help. Even if all you need is a quick nail trim, shave, or shampoo it's just a short walk down the hallway for services. Life is good!
Carports
Carports are available. The monthly rental fee includes a 10'x4' locked storage room.
Laundry
Laundry service is available to pick up and deliver your personal laundry. You can also arrange to have your laundry done for you by our housekeeping staff for an additional minimal fee.
Transportation
Dial-A-Ride bus service is available seven days a week for your local transportation needs.
Building Intercom System
There is a building intercom system that is used to announce emergency information to our residents. The front door is also equipped with an intercom panel so your guests can ring your apartment to notify you of their arrival.
Closed Circuit Security Cameras
This system is located in the common areas of the building to assist us if an incident occurs. The doors and windows have notices on them to detour unwanted activity.
Hospital within a Block
Sherman Oaks Properties are nicely positioned within a block of the hospital. This makes life much easier whether you need to go there for services or you want to visit a friend or family member who is there.
Fire Alarm & Sprinkler System
The entire building is equipped with a sprinkler system and fire alarms. We meet on an annual basis with the fire chief to review safety systems and have him as well as a representative of Life EMS attend a resident meeting to review with our residents.
24-Hour Emergency Maintenance
Residents have emergency numbers posted on their refrigerators.
Smoke Free Community
The Manor is a smoke free building.
Veterans Commemorative Library
We have a beautiful library for you to enjoy. We have designed it to honor the men and woman who have served our country. Our tenants are asked to share photos and items in our display cases. They enjoy time alone or time with groups in this warm space. Many gather here for games, book reading or other social times together. You will also find a computer work area with Internet and Wi-Fi making it possible for our residents and their guests to have access to the Internet.
Fitness Room & Exercise Class
On the main level is a spacious activity room with chair exercising class twice a day. It is also our location to view a favorite movie or show with friends on the large screen.
Fitness & Wellness Center: In the center of the property is a state-of-the-art fitness room which includes a loung with WiFi and Roku along with a private Counselor/Therapist availalbe by appointment. Ask at the office for their personal contact information. This building also has a Community Garden and gathering space.
Social Activities & Group Outings
We have a full activities schedule which includes games, Friday Bingo, luncheons, guest speakers, musicians, children’s entertainment, tea time, arts & crafts, and so much more.
